Verbier, Switzerland - nov 22 2014. Alexandra Lundström and Martin Lewis are starting their skin hike in Verbier, in the Swiss alps, right in front of the mountain called Bec des rosses. To do skinning, you need skis with a specific locking mecanism allowing the shoe to move, and you also need the so-called "seal skin" which is now made out of a synthetic material, creating friction with snow when moving the ski backward but staying smooth when moving forward.<br />
